Nintendo NES Cufflinks!!!

Nintendo NES Cufflinks!!!

OK, this has got to be one of the coolest things I have seen in
awhile. I’m a banker and I like to rock the cufflinks whenever I
can. I have a few pair already, but nothing like this.

Nintendo NES Cufflinks!!!

It’s amazing how much attention cufflinks get as it is. Rocking these would be a sure conversation starter:-)

Nintendo NES Cufflinks!!!

What do you think? Price tag on these bad boys is somewhere around $22, which is CHEAP for cufflinks.

I’ll let ya know if I throw down.

Peace!

Blackberry Bold Update: No T-Mobile:-(

-(

Looks like Charissa may be jumping ship with other T-Mobile users if
it’s true that T-Mobile USA won’t be carrying the Blackberry Bold EVER!

Could it be true? Seems as thought it is.

Who’s in Charissa’s Top 5? Maybe not T-Mobile anymore!

Fun and Food at Downtown Winter Garden

This afternoon Charissa and I went to downtown Winter Garden and walked around in the gorgeous afternoon weather we have been experiencing this last couple of days. The downtown section of WG has really filled up and more is on the way. It feels like a step back in time for sure. Very peaceful.

After a little walking and poking around, we stopped in at the French Bakery & Cafe. This was our first visit and it rocked! We grabbed a table outside and just chilled until our food came out.

I had the Eiffel Tower sandwich (pictured above) and Charissa had Femme Fatale Crepe (pictured below). The food was really good. I know we will be going back for sure. Soon!

It was a fun few hours. If you’re looking for something a bit different, go check it out. They also have great desserts and HUGE selection!

I’m going to take a nap now:-)

Peace!

T-Mobile: Free Companion Flight. SWEET!!!

T_mobile_airplane

According to sources, T-Mobile will be offering a free companion flight to anyone who activates or renews a new two year contract between the dates of November 19th and December 24th. The activator/renewer must of course buy a ticket through T-Moblie’s special site at full price, but it’s still a cool promotion to offer.

Can Charissa (the T-Mobile user in the family) hold off that long for her new phone? We shall see:-)

Riceworks ROCKS!

Riceworks ROCKS!

I bought a bag of these and one of the Salsa Fesca. I must say that
the texture is great and the flavor even better. Give these a try.
If you’re in my area, I got them at the local Target. Enjoy!

HTC Touch Pro: Release Update (Sprint)

Release Update (Sprint)

So today I was in the Sprint store looking to see if I was ready to
upgrade. The answer was no, but the phone that may have me bypass the
delayed Blackberry Bold is this phone pictured above, the HTC Touch Pro.

The Touch Pro offers the same slide out keyboard I’m used to with a
lot of added features. The key will be the size. I held the HTC
Diamond and it is really small, which is nice. The only question will
be, actually there will be two. First, when does the Bold come out
for Sprint? Second, what is the exact thickness of the phone and how
does it feel in person?

The expected release date got moved back from the 19th (tomorrow) and
will be the first part of November. Not far away at all. This could
be my next phone.

Thoughts?

Blackberry Bold: Release Update (AT&T)

Release Update (AT&T)

So it looks like AT&T is finally going to release the Blackberry Bold
on October 27th. What does that mean for other carriers? Who knows.
Let us all just hope this phone has been worth the wait.

I’m personally a Sprint user and have been (Nextel first) for years.
The Bold was supposed to be out for Sprint in September, but that was
assuming AT&T had it in June or July. I’m thinking it could be
another 3-6 months before my carrier has it. Worth the wait? Kenny

Digital Programmable Thermostat

I’ve been a homeowner for about eight years now and the things I’ve learned in that time surprise even me. I am in no way a “Mr. Fix It” like my Dad, but to other people who have no clue, I seem pretty far ahead of the game:-)

I’ve painted the inside and out of the house, replaced the floors, done landscaping numerous times, had a new roof put on, put up pictures, and the list goes on and on. What you learn as a homeowner is that there is ALWAYS something new to be done.

Cabinets, counters, new appliances…all contestants for the next round of my home’s makeover. Being a home isn’t all that bad when you think of it. Someone takes care of you and cleans you…OK, it’s kinda like being a baby. To the point I go….

When is the last time you thought about replacing your home’s thermostat? I honestly had never really thought about it until recently. With the economy being as tough as it is, more and more people are looking for ways to save money. It only makes sense that the device that controls your house’s temperature could save you more than a few dollars a year if run correctly.

I personally have an older thermostat, but after quite a bit of research I’m thinking of upgrading to a new digital programmable thermostat. The benefits keep more green in the bank account and it’s upgrading is a “green” thing to do. You can read more about all the benefits via the link below. You will also get instructions on how to replace your current thermostat if you are a “Mr. Fix It” type of guy or gal.

What kid of thermostat do you have? By the first of the year, I will be a proud Digital Programmable Thermostat owner. Who’s coming with me? Who in this cold forsaken winter weather is coming with me? OK, enough with the bad Jerry Maguire dialogue.

More digital thermostat updates to come in the future. Peace!

PS: Anyone out there have a digital thermostat already that can shed some light on what I’m missing?

Halloween Horror Nights this Sunday!

This Sunday a group of us are heading to Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights for the the first time (minus Charissa who went in college). It will be interesting to see how scary it will be. Charissa nor I are really into scary movies, etc., so I may be hiding behind Karol and Bob and she may be hiding behind me (jk):-)

American Express Platinum Card: No more domestic companion airfare:-(

-(

Effective Nov. 15, 2008, cardmembers will no longer have the ability
to book up to four complimentary companion tickets on qualifying
domestic coach tickets.

How much does that suck? I mean you’re paying $450 a year just to
have the card. Shame on your AMEX.

I’m glad I never got one of these. 1 point for me!

Peace!
