One tough Bird!

So I went out yesterday to water my new plants and as I was spraying water I saw this little bird just standing under one of the bushes. I continued watering (minus that one bush, although the bird did get a little wet from overspray) and the bird never even moved. I think he/she was trying to sleep:-) Seriously, check out the pic, the eyes are closed. When I walked up really close, the bird opened its eyes and then closed them again. I guess I’m not the typical scary human. Anyway, I left and went to get some food and when I came back the bird was gone. Probably just an afternoon nap, but I thought I’d share because I’ve never seen anything like it:-)

New Air Jordan Shoes!

No doubt Mike Jordan is the man! This color version of his new shoes comes out late December. I’m liking the kicks a lot, but I’d need to work on my game a ton before I could ever wear these:-) Ah, perhaps a little motivation to attempt to get my game back. The games we play as we get older.

LC is ballin!

The “picture takers” got this one of Lauren Conrad (LC) of “The Hills” getting out of her new Audi R8. People all over the net are hating on her for having a car that they say cost $113,000. If they only knew that you could NEVER buy an R8 for $113,000 they’d really be upset:-) I would guess the car’s price tag was closer to $140,000 or so.

I wonder if she listens to Jim Jones’, “We fly high, no lie, you know this…Ballin’!”

Change adds Up!

So Charissa found my old bag of change the other day as she was cleaning out one of the closets in the house. This was money I had accumulated over the years by paying with cash, which I no longer do EVER! So this bag has probably been sitting around for 3-4 years maybe more. Today, I thought I would find a coin machine and see how much I had.

My bag of coins:

So I went to the local Walmart after a little research and used their Coinstar machine. The Coinstar machine is cool (minus the 9% fee), but I wish it counted faster. I started laughing while feeding the machine because it sounded like I was popping popcorn, only much louder. At one point a lady backed up and said, “Wow, you have a lot of coins!”

The grand total ended up being $223 and some change:-) After the fee of $19, I walked out with $204. Not bad for something that I had forgot about in the closet.

My winnings:

No the only problem I have is that I have to wait until next week to deposit this because I don’t want to use it. No, this has nothing to do with saving…I just don’t want more change:-)

The Real Storm Trooper Hoodie. I want one!

I’m not even a HUGE “Star Wars” fan, but I want one of these Storm Trooper hoodies by Marc Ecko. It’s super different, the price isn’t bad ($98), and the color rocks! Apparently a lot of other people want one too, because they’re sold out.
